I’ve found that one of the best ways to get out of a mental rut is by immersing ourselves in new cultures. Experiencing a new culture is like entering a whole new world of sights, sounds, smells, and textures. We get exposed to new beliefs and perspectives.
Yet, if you grew up in an environment where you weren’t encouraged to intermingle with people who were different from you, or if you’re just too busy, you might find the idea of cultural immersion to be intimidating and out of reach.
In this podcast episode, I describe the meaning and origin of cultures and how interacting with other cultures benefits us and the world at large.
