Friday Dec 03, 2021
We all face times when our reality does not meet our expectations. This becomes painful when we’re unable to manage the gap between the two.
The wider the gap, the more we suffer, especially if we resist and deny.
While the events in our lives can feel out of our control, we have the power to cope with them by managing our internal worlds.
When we build awareness and take responsibility for the filters through which we see the world, we put ourselves in the driver’s seat and can manage how events impact us.

Since the 1800s tarot cards have been used as a source of spiritual guidance. And unlike common belief tarot does not predict the future – instead, they tell us stories about our lives and enable us to connect with our inner wisdom and gain a deeper understanding of a situation.
It’s an additional tool that we can consult to make better and more conscious decisions.
To give us more insight into this practice, I invited one of the most beloved tarot card artists: Chris-Anne Donnelly.
Chris Anne is a deck creator, artist, and magic-maker, as well as a marketing strategist and owner of Pixelbrand--a branding and graphic design company. She has successfully Kickstarted three independent card decks: The Sacred Creators Oracle, The Light Seer's Tarot, and The Muse Tarot and she offers unique courses for creators.
During our conversation, we’ll talk about the creative inspiration behind Chris-Anne’s designs. She’ll also explain how tarot works and how we can use them to develop insight and overcome blocks.

Many of us remember looking up at the stars as a kid, and wondering “What IS out there?”
As we grow older, we try to seek answers by flipping through science magazines or by following NASA’s newsfeed.

Abigail Harrison, fondly known as “Astronaut Abby,” is an aspiring astronaut, author and co-founder of the international nonprofit organization The Mars Generation. The good news is that tapping into your intuition is a learnable skill.
We have six types of intuition that correspond to our five senses. Learning which type you prefer and developing them will help your intuitive abilities to blossom.

Having empathy has become increasingly important as we try to build a bridge across cultures, races and classes to create a more connected and peaceful society.
My guest today, Wendy Sanford, had to reckon with her own identity and privilege to get to this level of understanding and teach it to others.
In her new memoir, Wendy tells a story of her 60-year friendship with Mary Norman, a Black woman whom she met when they were both teenagers. The daughter of an upper-middle-class suburban family in Princeton, New Jersey, she comes of age within the cultural revolutions of the 1960s, 70s, and 80s. Informed and fueled by the writings of women of color, she begins to deal with the impact of her training.
In our conversation, we discuss themes that Wendy’s book centers on and how it can help us become more aware of our biases and develop friendships with all types of people.
