Friday Dec 11, 2020
Friday Dec 11, 2020
The twin flame journey is one of finding your kindred spirit—that ultimate dream partner with whom you share unconditional love and who awakens your true potential with that love.
This holy quest of finding your other soul’s “missing half” has been recorded in philosophy and history and has been gaining popularity over the past couple of decades. It’s been normalized in pop culture by sitcoms, movies, and thousands of articles and YouTube videos.
But is there truth to this metaphysically-based love theory?
In this episode I offer my critique on the twin flame journey based on my own experience. I look at the darker and dysfunctional aspects of the twin flame framework that we need to watch out for and how we can use it as a tool for self-exploration and healing.

4 Old-Fashioned Courtship Rituals We Should Bring Back
Friday Nov 13, 2020
Friday Nov 13, 2020
With the rise of online dating websites and apps, and a more open-minded culture, it’s become harder to form deeper and meaningful connections. The culture enables shallow communication and a “marketplace mentality” that make people feel more like commodities than people.
We can bring morality back to dating by looking to the times when people showed a reverence for the process and courtship was seen as a privilege, not a game.
Not all old-fashioned formal courtship rituals are a good fit for our times, and may seem conservative or dramatic. But if we focus on the basic values they represent and adapt them to our preference, we can add tenderness and authenticity to the process.
In this episode, I share four old-fashioned courtship rituals we all could consider bringing back.

Friday Nov 06, 2020
Friday Nov 06, 2020
Most of us grew up hearing that hard work is the key to success. While it’s hard to be a success without working hard, it doesn’t guarantee that you’ll accomplish your goals.
Believing that success comes from diligence and effort alone is misleading, and it sets us up for disappointment. There are many other external factors that impact our desired outcomes.
But instead of letting this reality disempower us, we can use it to our advantage. If you find yourself demotivated and drained out because your hard work is not paying off, you’ll find solace and strength in the five tips I’ve outlined in this episode.

Why We Need to Stop Accent Shaming and Discrimination
Friday Oct 30, 2020
Friday Oct 30, 2020
Accent bias, a term coined for this type of prejudice, targets those who speak a language with a foreign accent. It has become increasingly common as people move around the world in search of opportunity.
Sadly, it is something we’re all prone to doing. Studies have shown that it takes as little as 30 milliseconds of speech for us to instantly form judgements about the speaker’s character, wealth, social status, intelligence, and education.
Whatever side of the accent shaming fence you find yourself on, you’ll benefit from this week's post where I describe various aspects of accents, including how we develop one and why we should stop using it as a reason to discriminate.
